5 reasons why acknowledging limitations is important in scientific research

1. Every research work has limitations, discussing about it is essential of scientific progress.


2. Addressing a studies limitation requires non biased interpretations of the influence of errors, problems faced during validations, and reasoning behind exemptions of particular methods.


3. The emphasis of a studies limitation is rarely observed in its publication, when they help in applying context to the complex nature or science and research.


4. Stating a research without addressing its limitations can lead to wrong interpretations of the research question.


5. Identifying the limitations of a study is the first hurdle researchers have to cross while formulating a research question either towards improving existing research methodologies and/ or proper validations of results.
