Passion to Purpose - The Cell Savvy Story... 
'Cell Savvy Group' is a community that strives to facilitate the percolation of scientific knowledge to the grassroot levels in society.  'Cell', the fundamental unit of life is a metaphor for the fundamental role that science plays in our society.
How it all started...
I have been intrigued by human infectious diseases and the science of immunology since a very young age. So, it came as no surprise to my family and friends when I pursued research in the interactions of the human immune system with viral infections. However, the storyteller in me struggled to be able to communicate the intricacies of my research with my family and friends.  
As a part of the science community, I was always painfully aware of the lack of dissemination of scientific knowledge in the public domain, and the struggle that researchers and clinicians go through in trying to communicate their research to the society.
The world of science communication emerged as the perfect answer to this dilemma. Gradually, the significance of training and conditioning young minds aspiring to be researchers and/or clinicians in science communication became evident. Well-researched and appropriately presented scientific manuscripts and deliverances can impactfully communicate complex scientific concepts to the society.
 
Where it all started...
One monsoon afternoon, as I sat scribbling and doodling about all this while sipping a cup of hot tea, an idea began to take shape...
